Senior SAP HANA Engineer (SAP HANA)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design and develop HANA-native calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript procedures for analytical and transactional workloads.
• Translate business and analytics requirements into maintainable, high-performance HANA data models.
• Optimize queries, joins, aggregations, partitioning, pruning, and parallel execution across HANA systems.
• Lead performance reviews and audits using HANA Studio Plan Visualizer, ST04, ST05, and DBACOCKPIT.
• Design replication, data-tiering, security, capacity-planning, and sizing solutions using SLT, SDI, SDA, Native Storage Extension, and dynamic tiering.
• Collaborate with Basis, ABAP, and analytics teams, maintain technical documentation, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• At least five years of SAP HANA development experience; the position listing also specifies 8+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on expertise with calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, SQLScript, and strong SQL.
• Understanding of HANA architecture, including in-memory storage, columnar processing, and parallel execution.
• Experience with HANA performance-tuning tools, replication tools such as SLT, SDI, and SDA, and HANA security models.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
