Chicago Technology Consulting Intern - 2027 (AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hybrid work model combining local office or client-site work with remote work; interns must be available in the designated location during business hours for the full internship and may travel locally or out of state. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $28–$38 per hour.

What you will do

• Collaborate with consulting teams to solve complex client business and technology problems.
• Support projects in business platform transformation, enterprise data and AI, Microsoft technologies, security and privacy, technology risk and resilience, or technology strategy and architecture.
• Analyze, organize, and interpret data to support reporting, insights, automation, and AI use cases.
• Contribute to technology assessments, risk and resilience programs, security testing, system implementations, documentation, and process mapping.
• Communicate technical concepts and findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in structured onboarding, experiential learning, coaching, and hands-on project training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technology, data, engineering, mathematics, or information systems discipline.
• Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Advanced verbal and written communication, critical thinking, analytical ability, and teamwork skills.
• Experience using AI-powered productivity or collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Copilot or generative AI.
• Technical proficiency aligned with the assigned capability area, including relevant databases, cloud platforms, BI tools, cybersecurity, ERP, programming, or risk frameworks.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, SAP, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, identity management, encryption, cloud environments, technology controls, or resilience frameworks.
