Analyst, Corporate Banking (Financial Institutions & Public Sector Lending)

Location: On-site full-time in Toronto, Canada

What you will do

• Provide analytical and research support to the Financial Institutions & Public Sector Lending group.
• Conduct company, industry, portfolio, financial statement, and credit analysis.
• Build financial models focused on credit underwriting, lending returns, and risk ratings.
• Prepare lending recommendations, credit narratives, committee presentations, proposals, and client pitch books.
• Support due diligence, business development calls, and portfolio management alongside relationship managers.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of related professional experience; lending or financial-institution experience is valued.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, business, economics, or finance.
• Experience with financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong technical skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, CFA, or another relevant professional designation.
• Experience with lending or financial institutions.
