Electronics Repair Center - Sr Technician

Location: USA - New York - Malta; onsite within the 300mm factory

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, refurbish, and validate computer systems, industrial servers, workstations, storage devices, network hardware, and electronic assemblies.
• Troubleshoot hardware failures at the component, board, and subsystem levels.
• Develop repair pipelines, documentation, standard work instructions, and training plans.
• Perform hardware imaging, system configuration, firmware updates, and functional validation testing.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering organizations to identify repair opportunities and improve productivity, cost, equipment availability, and turnaround time.
• Support critical manufacturing infrastructure while following Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Information Technology, military or trade equivalent, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in computer hardware repair, server maintenance, electronics repair, IT infrastructure support, or a related technical field.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with computer systems, servers, storage devices, networking hardware, and electronic assemblies.
• Experience with diagnostic tools, test equipment, and hardware repair methodologies.
• Fluent English, written and verbal, is required.
• Must be able to work onsite in a semiconductor cleanroom, wear protective equipment, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, data center operations, IT infrastructure, or industrial computing.
• Experience repairing servers, industrial PCs, embedded controllers, network equipment, storage devices, and electronic assemblies.
• Familiarity with server operating systems, RAID storage, system imaging, firmware management, and hardware deployment.
• Experience with hardware diagnostics, component-level repair, and system validation.
