About the Role
You will lead the development of legal and regulatory functions and build the relevant team. You will develop and implement regulatory strategies oversee compliance policies and reporting monitor regulatory developments support product development and handle privacy and data security policies. You will translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into practical actions and manage demanding workloads independently.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in compliance legal or regulatory roles
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Austrian Financial Market Authority and its regulations
- Strong legal knowledge in a FinTech financial services consultancy or law firm environment
- Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into practical actions
- Ability to manage diverse workloads and strict deadlines independently
- Experience managing financial services license applications and direct regulator contact is preferred
- Experience with MiCAR MiFID II securities compliance or payment and electronic money institutions is preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the legal and regulatory function
- Build and develop the legal and regulatory team
- Develop and implement a regulatory strategy
- Guide the business through regulatory challenges
- Ensure high quality reporting for regulators and auditors
- Oversee compliance and regulatory strategies
- Define and implement compliance policies
- Support product development with product and strategy teams
- Monitor regulatory developments related to MiCAR and crypto assets
- Manage privacy and data security policies
