Senior M365 Messaging Specialist (Microsoft 365)

Location: Remote from Canada; listed location: London, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 125,000–135,000 annual salary, plus bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments.
• Configure and manage Proofpoint Email Protection, Threat Response, TAP, and DLP policies.
• Administer Microsoft Defender for Office 365, SPF/DKIM/DMARC policies, TLS configurations, and email encryption solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert for email routing, delivery troubleshooting, mail-flow policies, and message trace analysis.
• Implement retention, legal hold, eDiscovery, and compliance practices while developing PowerShell automation and reporting scripts.
• Provide Tier 3 support and technical guidance to junior engineers and IT support teams, including support for migrations and integrations.

Requirements

• Long-standing experience architecting and maintaining Microsoft messaging and collaboration solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and secure mail gateway configurations.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, Proofpoint, email encryption, and PowerShell scripting for Exchange and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
