Middle Legal Counsel (Product and Marketing Compliance)

Location: Hybrid work from one of the offices in Kyiv, Lviv, or Warsaw

What you will do

• Identify and assess legal risks related to consumer protection, data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance across the USA, EU, and UK.
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice that protects company interests and supports growth.
• Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Finance teams on legal and compliance matters.
• Develop and implement compliance processes, policies, and internal guidelines.
• Support regulatory inquiries, investigations, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant legal experience in a top-tier law firm, Big 4, product company, or technology company.
• Law degree from a Ukrainian or foreign university.
• Fluent English required.
• Practical experience in compliance, commercial law, privacy, consumer protection, or another relevant area of international law.
• Ability to identify legal risks, provide clear advice, work independently, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, ownership, and ability to involve senior colleagues or external counsel when needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer protection laws in the USA and EU, including the FTC Act, ROSCA, and Omnibus Directive.
• Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection frameworks.
• Experience supporting product, marketing, or technology teams.
• Experience with commercial and intellectual property matters in an international environment.
• Practical experience using AI tools for legal research, analysis, document review, or other legal workflows.
