Data Protection Manager (m/w/d) – EMEA (GDPR/Data Protection): Managing the operational implementation and continuous development of Avnet’s EMEA-wide data protection management system with an accent on DPIAs, DPAs, TRAs, RoPAs, and GDPR governance. Focus on coordinating data subject rights and breach handling, advising business functions, and supporting AI-related data protection compliance across multiple countries.

Location: Belgrade, Serbia; Leipzig or Poing (Munich), Germany; Krakow, Poland; or Leeds, United Kingdom

What you will do

  • Manage the operational implementation and continuous development of the EMEA Data Protection Management System.
  • Perform and coordinate DPIAs, DPAs, TRAs, and Records of Processing Activities in OneTrust.
  • Negotiate and manage Data Processing Agreements and Joint Controller agreements.
  • Support Data Subject Rights Requests, data breach assessments, incident handling, and documentation.
  • Advise HR, IT, Sales, Compliance, and other business functions on day-to-day data protection matters.
  • Support data protection training, awareness initiatives, and AI-related compliance activities.

Requirements

  • University degree in Law, Business Administration, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in data protection, preferably in an international or corporate environment.
  • Solid knowledge of the GDPR and practical experience with DPIAs, DPAs, TRAs, RoPAs, Data Subject Rights Requests, and data breach handling.
  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English are required.

  • Legal background.
  • Experience with data protection management tools such as OneTrust.
