Software Developer - Assistant Vice President (Ruby on Rails/React)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; four days in the office and one remote day on Friday

What you will do

• Develop backend features in Ruby on Rails and/or Scala with ZIO.
• Build frontend functionality using React and Redux.
• Resolve defects and deliver enhancements across one or more software platforms.
• Develop unit and integration tests through manual and automated testing efforts.
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, peer code reviews, and standard software development and change management processes.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering.
• 6+ years of full-stack, web-based application development experience.
• 6+ years of experience with React and Ruby on Rails or Scala, plus 6+ years of HTML and CSS development.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, independent working, and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal, is required.
