IT Solution Architect - Customer Line Operations - Aircraft Delivery (DCA) (AWS)

What you will do

• Translate complex business and functional requirements into sustainable, cost-effective end-to-end technical architectures.
• Act as the technical authority for Customer Line Operations and define architectural standards, vision, and roadmaps.
• Design and oversee solutions across AWS public cloud and OpenShift private cloud environments.
• Ensure digital continuity and integrate applications with SAP and existing manufacturing and logistics systems.
• Drive innovation through proof-of-concepts and emerging technology assessments.
• Maintain architecture standards, decision records, and technical documentation while collaborating with business owners, product managers, and delivery teams.

Requirements

• More than 6 years of IT architecture experience and a degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• Experience designing complex, multi-tiered solutions across multiple technology domains; ArchiMate modeling is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Java, Python, TypeScript, .NET, relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS DynamoDB.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, IAM, EKS/ECS, and Infrastructure as Code using CDK or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of three-tier architecture, web and application servers, security protocols, encryption, secure storage, and security by design.
• Fluent English and negotiation-level German are required. The position requires security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with API management, DevOps toolchains, CI/CD, testing platforms, SAP ERP and manufacturing integration.
• Knowledge of mobile application architecture for Android and iOS, as well as Progressive Web Applications.
• Basic French.
