Solutions Architect I (Geospatial AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid role requiring work from the Berlin office 3 days per week

Salary: €64,890–€81,090 gross annually, with eligibility for commission, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity.

A space and data company operating a large imaging-satellite constellation and a cloud-based platform that delivers satellite data for commercial, environmental, humanitarian, research, and government applications.

What you will do

• Architect, design, pilot, and operationalize solutions that translate customer requirements into robust technical architectures.
• Deliver workshops, tailored demo applications, and workflows while improving customer-facing user experiences.
• Support pre-sales, customer expansion, technical proposals, and solution ideation using remote sensing, geospatial, AI, machine learning, image processing, and geo-programming expertise.
• Lead solution development teams in Agile environments and collaborate with project managers, software engineers, product owners, and satellite and image-quality engineers.
• Manage the customer success lifecycle from discovery and scoping through delivery, value realization, satisfaction, and expansion.
• Provide training, conference presentations, technical tutorials, articles, videos, and support for education and research users.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant experience in a technical geospatial or remote sensing role.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, Geography, or a related field.
• Background in remote sensing, geoscience, or geoinformatics, with strong Python programming for imagery processing, vector-data manipulation, and data pipelines.
• Experience with solution design, requirements gathering, user-story ideation, technical documentation, architecture, and prototyping.
• Proficiency with QGIS, ArcGIS, GDAL, ENVI, or comparable geospatial software; familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with Agile cross-functional delivery, AI-assisted productivity or coding, workshops, training, and end-user troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• Advanced machine learning experience applied to geospatial data and experience with Claude or other AI tools for geospatial applications.
• Knowledge of Google Functions, CI/CD integrations, Vertex AI, or Amazon Bedrock.
• Knowledge of the Challenger methodology for customer engagement.
• JavaScript, OpenLayers, Leaflet, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, or React experience.
• Industry experience in forestry, natural disasters, sustainability, or agriculture.
