Assurance Senior Manager (Financial Markets: Digital Assets/Lending/Capital Markets and/or Insurance)

Location: Toronto, Canada; regular onsite presence at a firm office and travel to client sites are required.

Compensation range: CAD 99,000–182,000 annually, plus discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead audits of financial statements, disclosures, and related client deliverables across financial markets engagements.
• Assess risks, design audit procedures, apply hirify.global’s audit methodology, and address technical accounting matters.
• Manage multiple engagements, including scope, timelines, milestones, resources, budgets, profitability, and quality standards.
• Review work performed by Senior Associates, Supervisors, and Managers while providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Build trusted client relationships, provide business advice, identify service opportunities, and support business development.
• Develop audit professionals through training, mentoring, career guidance, and firm initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another relevant discipline.
• Active CPA or equivalent certification required.
• At least 9 years of recent assurance experience in public accounting, with extensive external audit experience.
• Proven ability to lead multiple audit engagements from planning through completion and manage teams, scopes, timelines, budgets, and quality.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, CASs, or other relevant accounting and auditing standards, including risk-based audit methodology, control testing, substantive procedures, and financial statement review.
• Consistent onsite presence during core business hours, regular reporting to a firm office, reliable transportation, and travel to client sites are required.
