Associate Principal, Policy (Medicare/Medicaid)

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicare, Medicaid, drug pricing, and healthcare policy affecting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, insurance, pharmacy, and PBM organizations.
• Develop strategic and tactical recommendations aligned with client policy and business needs.
• Lead client projects and engagements, including project strategy, team management, quality control, and timely delivery.
• Create new advisory offerings and contribute to business development, sales, and revenue goals.
• Supervise, train, and mentor colleagues across the practice and firm.
• Author thought leadership on policy expertise and advisory capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in public health, public policy, political science, healthcare management, health policy, public administration, economics, business administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Deep knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid policy, including Medicare Part D, the Inflation Reduction Act’s Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program, and drug pricing reforms.
• Experience analyzing policy proposals, legislation, or regulations and communicating implications to clients, colleagues, and the public.
• Project management, leadership, supervision, mentoring, and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies, life sciences consulting, federal government agencies such as CMS or FDA, health insurance, PBM, advocacy, trade groups, healthcare financial services, or Congress.
