Control Systems Engineering Specialist

Location: Peterborough, United Kingdom; onsite in the office five days per week. Less than 10% travel.

Salary: £66,079 per annum, dependent upon experience.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices for machine products.
• Develop and support control system architectures and functionality for machine and technology applications.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and product teams to define and implement control strategies.
• Integrate, validate, and troubleshoot control system features across hardware and software.
• Contribute technical expertise to project planning, design reviews, and product development.
• Maintain tools and processes supporting embedded control and AUTOSAR software features.

Requirements

• Knowledge of embedded systems and their applications in machine control.
• Experience with analytical thinking, requirements analysis, technical troubleshooting, and complex problem solving.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate across engineering disciplines and global teams.
• Experience or knowledge in control software development for vehicles, construction equipment, or related environments.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Peterborough, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Variant and calibration data management experience.
• Understanding of fixed-point data typing.
• Extensive MATLAB Simulink development experience.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, CAN, Ethernet, CANape, CANalyser, or CANoe.
