Electrical Commissioning Manager

What you will do

• Lead commissioning of complex electrical systems and their integration with mechanical, controls, and building systems.
• Develop project-specific commissioning plans, programmes, procedures, switching schedules, and test scripts.
• Manage commissioning from pre-commissioning and energisation through integrated systems testing, handover, and close-out.
• Coordinate project, construction, QA/QC, design, subcontractor, vendor, client, consultant, and utility stakeholders.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of HV, MV, and LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, lighting, power, earthing, lightning protection, BMS, EPMS, and electrical controls.
• Manage documentation, snagging, defect resolution, final turnover packages, client training, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems, including HV, MV, LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, protection systems, BMS, and electrical controls.
• Demonstrable experience managing commissioning from pre-commissioning through energisation, integrated systems testing, handover, and project close-out.
• Experience leading commissioning teams, coordinating subcontractors and specialist vendors, and managing programmes, resources, and deliverables.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and commissioning platforms.
• Knowledge of EU regulations, IEC/EN standards, local regulations, and HSQE requirements.

Nice to have

• Data centre or mission-critical project experience.
• Authorised Person or Senior Authorised Person qualification.
• Experience with energisation planning and Integrated Systems Testing.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution such as the IET.
