Compliance Manager

Location: Hybrid in Almaty, Kazakhstan

What you will do

• Own KYC and third-party due diligence processes, including methodology, risk tiering, templates, and procedures.
• Run and quality-control ABC, sanctions, PEP, adverse-media, beneficial-ownership, and conflict-of-interest checks.
• Automate KYC workflows with screening platforms such as Dow Jones Risk & Compliance or equivalent tools.
• Review high-risk contracts, identify sanctions and corruption risks, and provide compliance sign-off within scope.
• Maintain the compliance-clause library, draft and negotiate clauses, and advise business stakeholders and counterparties.
• Handle complex cases and improve compliance processes, controls, policies, and training in collaboration with Legal and the Business.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in compliance, KYC/AML, third-party risk, or contract compliance in a global environment.
• Proven ability to independently own compliance processes from end to end.
• Strong anti-corruption and sanctions expertise, with hands-on experience using sanctions and PEP screening tools.
• Experience reviewing high-risk contracts and drafting or negotiating compliance clauses.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• English proficiency test is part of the hiring process.

Nice to have

• ICA or ACAMS certification.
• Hands-on experience with AI and automation tools in compliance.
