Associate Producer

What you will do

• Research, script, source, and produce video-led stories for NBC News’ Today Show.
• Track breaking stories and collaborate with the international newsdesk on fast-moving coverage.
• Work with producers and editors to select footage, gather material, and shape broadcast and digital edits.
• Identify and use agency feeds and user-generated content for storytelling.
• Support field production and crew supervision while contributing to the full production process.
• Pitch stories and strengthen editorial clarity, accuracy, and visual impact.

Requirements

• Newsroom experience is required; major US broadcast network experience is desirable.
• Understanding of agency feeds, user-generated content, network news, cable news, and digital platforms.
• Proficiency in Outlook, iNews, and major social platforms including X, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
• Strong understanding of American news, culture, and pop culture, with sound news judgment.
• Creative, interpersonal, and independent working skills, including the ability to react quickly under pressure.
• Full professional proficiency in English and eligibility to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro, or VPost.
• Experience at a major US broadcast network.
