Lead Fabric / Data Platform Consultant (Microsoft Fabric)

Location: Finland; work from any hirify.global office in Finland with at least 50% of working time in the office

Salary: €6,000–€7,000 per month plus a bonus component

What you will do

• Own end-to-end architecture for client data platforms, including ingestion, transformation, storage, modelling, serving, and operating models.
• Design and build Microsoft Fabric and Azure solutions across OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, and related services.
• Lead implementations, migrations, and hybrid architectures using Databricks, dbt, Snowflake, Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Develop performant lakehouse, warehouse, Power BI semantic models, and reusable DAX solutions.
• Establish engineering practices covering version control, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, monitoring, governance, security, privacy, lineage, and GDPR.
• Advise clients, facilitate workshops, present technical options, support presales, mentor colleagues, and lead small delivery teams.

Requirements

• Substantial hands-on experience delivering end-to-end data platforms and analytics in consulting or client project environments.
• Demonstrable Microsoft Fabric experience and strong knowledge of the Azure data ecosystem, including Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, storage, networking, and identity.
• Working experience with Databricks, dbt, and Snowflake, with fluency in at least two and informed understanding of all three.
• Strong Power BI skills, including semantic modelling, advanced DAX, Power Query, report design, workspace management, and deployment management.
• Strong Python, PySpark, SQL, data modelling, modern ELT, source control, and CI/CD skills.
• Fluent Finnish and working proficiency in English are required because client work is often conducted in Finnish.

Nice to have

• Real-Time Intelligence, Eventhouse, KQL, Data Activator, streaming, or event-driven data experience.
• Microsoft Purview and hands-on data governance experience.
• MLflow, feature stores, production ML workloads, or integrations with Power Platform, Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, or Business Central.
• Copilot and AI-assisted development experience, Fabric agentic stack knowledge, PowerShell, paginated reports, or presales experience.
• Relevant certifications such as DP-700, DP-600, PL-300, Databricks Data Engineer Professional, SnowPro, dbt Analytics Engineering, or Azure data certifications.
