Analytics Engineer Trainee (Power BI)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work with attendance at the Warsaw office three times a week

Salary: 11,400 PLN gross/month

What you will do

• Translate business stakeholder needs into report requirements, KPIs, and user stories with support from senior team members.
• Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using established design standards and reusable templates.
• Support semantic modeling by defining basic measures, calculations, data relationships, and DAX logic.
• Collaborate with data engineers to understand sources, validate transformations, and identify data quality issues.
• Use Git-based workflows to version and deploy Power BI assets under supervision.
• Participate in Scrum planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Third-, fourth-, or fifth-year student or graduate with an interest in business and technology.
• Hands-on, academic, or project experience with Power BI or similar BI tools, including Power Query, DAX, datasets, and reports.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts, including tables, relationships, and basic star schemas.
• Knowledge of SQL and proficiency in Python for data processing and analysis.
• Experience with Figma and understanding of dashboard and user interface design principles.
• Strong communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and willingness to learn from feedback.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Git, Microsoft Power Platform, data warehousing, ETL concepts, cloud data platforms, or BI tools beyond Power BI.
• Previous exposure to analytics or reporting.
