IDAM Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hampshire, United Kingdom; onsite 5 days per week. The role requires the right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility for applicable UK Government and contractual personnel security and residency requirements.

What you will do

• Design enterprise-scale identity and access management architectures for defence operations.
• Architect authentication, MFA, authorisation, RBAC, ABAC, PAM, identity governance, and access lifecycle solutions.
• Lead IDAM modernisation, platform migrations, and implementation across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Design integrations with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, identity federation, SSO, and cross-domain authentication.
• Establish architecture standards, governance, audit, logging, operational readiness, and continuous improvement processes.
• Lead technical teams, mentor architects, run design workshops, and advise customer and defence programme leadership.

Requirements

• Experience designing enterprise-scale identity and access management solutions in an architecture role.
• Background in defence, aerospace, or government IDAM programmes.
• Expertise with Azure AD, Okta, Ping, ForgeRock, LDAP, Active Directory, OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
• Knowledge of hybrid and cloud-native identity, PAM, RBAC/ABAC, identity governance, access certification, and entitlement management.
• Experience with API security, service-to-service authentication, microservices identity, cryptography, encryption, and security protocols.
• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet applicable UK Government and contractual security, residency, and possible nationality requirements.
