Head of HR, Japan & Asia

What you will do

• Lead the People function and People strategy across Japan and Asia.
• Advise the Japan CEO and regional leadership team on organisational strategy, workforce planning, and leadership capability.
• Develop scalable operating models, organisational structures, succession plans, and talent frameworks.
• Drive performance management, career development, employee engagement, culture, and organisational transformation initiatives.
• Manage complex employee relations matters, HR governance, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Global People Centres of Excellence and use workforce analytics to improve organisational performance.

Requirements

• Significant HR leadership experience as an HR Director, Head of HR, or equivalent in a fast-paced international organisation.
• Experience leading HR across Japan and other Asian markets, including knowledge of local employment practices and cultural dynamics.
• Strong knowledge of Japan employment law and HR best practices.
• Expertise in organisational design, workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, and change management.
• Strong employee relations, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and influencing skills.
• Fluency in Japanese and English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Taiwan employment law.
