Director of HR - Japan (Cybersecurity)

Location: Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid)

Salary: ¥13,000,000–¥21,000,000 JPY per year

What you will do

• Partner with business leaders across Japan and APJ on people strategy, organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
• Lead talent reviews, succession planning, employee development, retention initiatives, and leadership coaching.
• Advise on employee relations, investigations, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and separations.
• Ensure compliance with Japanese labor regulations and local employment requirements.
• Implement and localize global HR programs across compensation, talent, engagement, and organizational development.
• Use workforce analytics and HR metrics to improve organizational effectiveness, governance, and employee experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HR Business Partner or HR leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws, employment practices, employee relations, and HR compliance.
• Experience supporting leaders in a global, matrixed organization and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Professional fluency in Japanese and strong business-level English communication skills.
• Strong business acumen, communication, relationship-building, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
