HR Business Partner (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, organizational changes, and offboarding.
• Maintain employee data and employment documentation while coordinating with Payroll, Benefits, HR teams, and external vendors.
• Act as a day-to-day HR contact for employees and managers and support workforce planning, organizational changes, and employee development.
• Coordinate talent reviews, succession planning, development plans, manager training, and learning programs in Japan.
• Support employee relations, performance evaluations, improvement plans, and annual performance reviews.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on interviews, hiring discussions, offers, and onboarding.

Requirements

• Approximately 3–6 years of hands-on HR experience in HR Operations, HR Generalist, plant HR, HR Business Partnering, or a related role.
• Practical experience with employee lifecycle processes and supporting employees and managers.
• Basic knowledge of Japanese labor practices, HR policies, and HR processes.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment such as semiconductor, electronics, automotive, or automotive components is highly desirable.
• Japanese: native level.
• English: conversational level, with the ability to participate in meetings and communicate with global HR colleagues.
