Java Full-stack Engineer

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and troubleshoot database queries and integrations to support application functionality and performance.
• Maintain React components and integrate them with backend APIs.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications using GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Configure and troubleshoot API gateways and reverse proxies, including Nginx.
• Investigate production issues, analyze logs, perform root cause analysis, remediate vulnerabilities, and recommend fixes to clients.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
• Solid database and SQL experience, including data integration and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of React and frontend integration with backend services.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with API gateways, reverse proxies, production debugging, log investigation, and vulnerability remediation.
• Good spoken English is required for clear client communication and explanation of technical concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with Axway API Gateway or similar enterprise API management platforms.
• Experience supporting Singapore government or public-sector projects or other highly regulated environments.
• Exposure to Government Commercial Cloud, Government Data Centre, or OpenShift Container Platform environments.
