Fraud Investigator (Fintech)

Location: Fully onsite in Tigard, Oregon

Salary: $26.00–$32.00 per hour, with potential performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Investigate external fraud incidents, fraudulent transactions, identity theft, and elder abuse affecting the bank and its customers.
• Analyze customer accounts, collect and retain documentation, write investigative reports, and document findings.
• Coordinate with branch managers, bank business lines, law enforcement, and government agencies; provide loss documentation and digital evidence.
• File reports for cases meeting FinCEN criteria and assist with recovery of funds.
• Process fraud losses, checks, financial transactions, incident referrals, mail, group emails, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Recommend policy and procedure changes based on fraud loss trends and provide coaching or training when needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail banking operations, bank operations, or fraud.
• Knowledge of common fraud investigation concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, bank security, and other applicable banking regulations.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, Excel, and Word; knowledge of FIS Banking Portal, FIS Teller, Concierge, and Image Center is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to work fully onsite at the Tigard, Oregon location; occasional travel may be required.
