Location: Batu Kawan, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do
- Manage MRO categories supporting semiconductor manufacturing, including spare parts, maintenance services, industrial supplies, consumables, and fabrication items.
- Develop sourcing strategies and lead RFQ/RFP activities and supplier selection with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Establish and manage supplier agreements, contracts, commercial terms, and supplier performance reviews.
- Monitor spend and market benchmarks while driving cost reduction, cost avoidance, and value improvement.
- Manage supplier escalations involving shortages, service issues, delivery delays, warranty claims, and operational disruptions.
- Develop mitigation, recovery, business continuity, and corrective-action plans to support manufacturing uptime.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in commodity management and procurement.
- Subject matter expertise in sourcing and contracting tools such as SAP or Oracle Cloud.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables, as well as Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, supplier management, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Nice to have
- Experience managing indirect materials categories.
- Knowledge of suppliers providing indirect solutions to semiconductor or electronics companies.
