Registered Nurse (RN) NICU, Short Term Option (13 weeks and 36 hours/week) DAYS

Location: Knoxville, TN, USA; onsite NICU role

Compensation: Elevated flat rate; eligible for shift differentials and overtime.

What you will do

• Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care for neonatal patients using the nursing process and primary nursing principles.
• Collect and document comprehensive patient data, formulate nursing diagnoses, and develop individualized plans of care.
• Implement and coordinate interventions that support patient outcomes, safety, and a healthy care environment.
• Evaluate patient progress and the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Collaborate ethically with children’s families and contribute to professional development, research, and peer support.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and competency while considering safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of NICU experience is required.
• A compact nursing license and Tennessee nursing licensure are required.
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications are required before starting.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and demonstrated clinical skills are required.
• Weekend and holiday availability may be required according to unit needs; full-time availability of 36 hours per week is required.

Nice to have

• Meditech and EPIC experience.
• Pediatric nursing experience.
