Company

Develops and delivers advanced defense systems, transitioning from prototype development to production and flight operations.

What you will do

  • Set technical direction and mentor engineers across the avionics test organization.
  • Develop and execute test plans for components, subassemblies, and integrated systems.
  • Design and build fixtures, hardware-in-the-loop environments, automated test rigs, and automated test equipment.
  • Validate electrical, digital, mechanical, RF, and flight-avionics performance using precise instrumentation and data logging.
  • Lead failure analysis, root-cause investigations, qualification, and environmental testing including thermal, vibration, and EMI campaigns.
  • Feed test results into hardware design cycles and collaborate with electrical, controls, software, and mechanical engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience testing high-power subsystems, high-speed digital interfaces, actuators, or RF hardware.
  • Hands-on experience developing automated test equipment with oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, loads, switch matrices, network analyzers, and similar instruments.
  • Familiarity with CAN, RS-422/485, SPI, Ethernet, embedded control systems, instrumentation control, and data acquisition.
  • Experience with Python, C++, protobufs, or scripting for test automation and data acquisition.
  • Access to classified information or restricted U.S. Government sites may require a security clearance, government authorization, and applicable citizenship or other eligibility requirements. Export-controlled information access is also required without additional export licensing.

Nice to have

  • RF testing or radar architecture experience.
  • Experience with SCPI, VISA, PyVISA, test dashboards, data analysis, and database creation.
  • Experience with environmental or RF chambers, environmental stress screening, fault injection, reliability qualification, flight test, or launch operations.
  • Working knowledge of C/C++ or Python for custom test tooling and embedded-systems debugging.

Culture & Benefits

  • Early-stage environment with significant ownership and direct impact on defense-system development.
  • Close collaboration across electrical, controls, software, mechanical, and test engineering.
  • Generous benefits package.
  • Equal-opportunity workplace with reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process.
