TL;DR
Information System Security Officer (ISSO) (Classified Cyber Assurance): Supporting the ISSM in assessing, governing, and communicating a classified cyber assurance program for defense information systems with an accent on RMF authorization, regulatory compliance, and government stakeholder coordination. Focus on completing A&A lifecycles, preparing audits and assessments, managing security tools and records, and maintaining compliance for classified networks.

Location: Torrance, California, United States; onsite required and remote work is not considered.

What you will do

  • Support the ISSM with the RMF authorization and assessment lifecycle for classified information systems.
  • Assess classified cyber assurance programs against industry standards, contractual requirements, regulatory requirements, and organizational needs.
  • Interpret and implement new regulatory and contractual requirements across classified systems and networks.
  • Plan and coordinate audits, assessments, tests, and compliance activities.
  • Use assessment, automation, vulnerability management, SIEM, and GRC tools, including Nessus, Splunk, Security Center, ServiceNow, and eMASS.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships, user briefings, data transfer policies and logs, classified equipment records, and government-facing communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of experience managing cyber assurance for classified computer systems or networks.
  • At least 1 year of experience in cyber assurance.
  • Experience with classified systems, RMF, regulatory and contractual compliance, audits, and assessments.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and a CI-scope polygraph, or the ability to successfully complete one.
  • DoD IAM Level III eligibility based on active certifications and eligibility to access applicable U.S. Government and export-controlled information.
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends when needed and travel locally and domestically.

Nice to have

  • Experience with NRO and JSIG A&A processes and the RMF seven-step process.
  • Experience obtaining ATOs for networks, weapon systems, and satellite systems.
  • COMSEC experience, project management skills, and experience integrating with IT and product security functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
