Senior Product Manager (AI Risk & Merchant Onboarding)

What you will do

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for merchant onboarding, risk decisioning, and related merchant experiences.
• Optimise the journey from discovery and sign-up through verification, activation, and product adoption.
• Build AI-powered capabilities that interpret merchant context, identify relevant signals, and detect emerging risk patterns.
• Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Risk teams to develop AI agents for detecting compromised accounts, prohibited activity, and suspicious behaviour.
• Translate AI insights into real-time fraud and risk actions, including step-ups, reviews, restrictions, and approvals.
• Develop payment-method recommendations that balance fraud risk, processing cost, payment conversion, and merchant experience.
• Use analytics, customer research, and A/B testing to identify pain points, define success metrics, and improve onboarding, verification, activation, and conversion.
• Communicate product strategy, trade-offs, and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including taking products from ideation through delivery and continuous optimisation.
• Experience owning product strategy, roadmap planning, discovery, and execution for customer-facing or platform products.
• Strong understanding of experimentation, analytics, user journeys, and outcome-based product development.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Risk, Compliance, or Operations teams.
• Ability to translate complex technical, data, or risk concepts into clear product experiences and decisions.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, plus a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with onboarding, fraud prevention, KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, account security, payments, or financial crime risk.
• Experience building AI/ML-powered products, decisioning systems, recommendation engines, or agentic workflows.
• Experience balancing risk, operational cost, payment conversion, and customer experience in financial products.
• Technical fluency and experience working with software engineers, machine-learning engineers, or data scientists.
• Experience serving merchants across multiple markets and regulatory environments.
