Automotive Technician

Location: Jackson, United States; onsite automotive service role.

Salary: $19.25–$28.93 per hour, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for first-time hires. Compensation uses a performance-based flat-rate pay model.

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries, check electrical systems, and install vehicle parts.
• Perform tire maintenance and repair services.
• Road test vehicles and support vehicle assessments.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and answer service inquiries.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and apply general automotive maintenance knowledge.
• Basic understanding of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment eligibility verification through Form I-9 is required; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certification in at least one A1–A8 area within the first two years of employment.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications and training certifications.
