Product Manager Comms (Aerospace Communications)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

What you will do

• Coordinate overall communications system engineering activities across time, cost, quality, architecture, and documentation.
• Manage L1 and L2 technical baselines, technical reviews, progress reviews, configuration management, and customer discussions.
• Coordinate communications L2 and systems contributions, design reviews, and interfaces with customer Comms and MIDS working groups.
• Develop and maintain L1 designs, requirements, interfaces, verification requirements, and coverage matrices.
• Support integration, verification, certification, security accreditation, qualification planning, and evidence generation.
• Contribute to architecture activities across multiple transport aircraft and UAS programmes.

Requirements

• Engineering degree; a PhD or telecommunications engineering degree is valuable.
• More than 5 years of experience in systems engineering or communications/avionics-related roles.
• Knowledge of aircraft and communications architecture for at least one transport aircraft or UAS platform, such as MRTT, C295/CN235/C212, A400M, Atlante, or Neuron.
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes, airworthiness, and EASA- or INTA-based certification processes.
• Experience with at least one communications discipline: voice radio communications, IP/digital communications, SATCOM, LTE, datalinks, or tactical datalinks such as Link 16 or Link 22.
• Fluent English and Spanish are required. Familiarity with project planning, DOORS, DMS, Simulink, Matlab, or CAMEO is expected.
