French Creative Writer

Location: 100% remote; attendance at least once a year at a launch workshop in London or remotely.

What you will do

• Post-edit machine-translated marketing copy for accuracy, fluency, and quality.
• Transcreate and localise campaigns while preserving brand voice, messaging, and cultural relevance.
• Write creative copy and headlines, including English back-translations of localised headlines.
• Deliver and maintain launch copy for products across web, in-store, direct mail, print, and other channels.
• Proofread final materials and research product and technical details.
• Collaborate with editors, Language Leads, project managers, and cross-functional teams to maintain quality.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in French and strong English proficiency for discussing creative and linguistic choices.
• At least 8 years of copywriting and translation experience, ideally in technology or consumer electronics.
• Experience working with premium brands and customer-facing marketing materials.
• Strong creative writing, localisation, translation, technical writing, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with post-editing machine translation, tight deadlines, and changing briefs or processes.
• Strong attention to detail, prioritisation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of machine translation systems and machine translation quality evaluation.
