BioAssay Scientist (Biologics)

Location: Slough, UK; on-site client laboratory

What you will do

• Perform routine, non-routine, and stability testing of biologic drug substances.
• Conduct ELISA, cell-based, potency, and Biacore assays, and analyse results using laboratory software and electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Prepare and maintain GMP-compliant documentation, reports, SOPs, protocols, and regulatory records.
• Support laboratory operations through equipment maintenance, stock management, housekeeping, trend analysis, and investigation of technical or out-of-specification issues.
• Contribute to method development, validation, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and implementation of laboratory best practices.
• Communicate findings with internal and external clients and support quality, safety, training, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Requirements

• Degree or higher qualification in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience in a bioanalytical laboratory working to GMP, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Practical Biacore experience is essential.
• Experience with ELISA, aseptic techniques, cell-based and potency assays, pharmaceutical drug substance testing, cell culture, Vi-Cell, manual cell counting, luminescence-based assays, and flow cytometry.
• Strong documentation, data integrity, organisational, communication, and scientific problem-solving skills.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
