Lead Data Engineer PLM (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead the architectural evolution of PLM data products from relational databases to Skywise and Palantir Foundry.
• Design, build, manage, and scale PLM data products using Datamesh architecture, Collate, and Kafka.
• Maintain and optimize automated Python scripts in source-control repositories executed through Jenkins.
• Gather business requirements, define technical specifications, and assess implementation feasibility.
• Guide developers on PLM database schemas, data modeling, and Datamesh architecture.
• Coordinate external development partners and oversee delivery against architectural standards.

Requirements

• Experience as a Lead Developer, Data Architect, or Technical Product Owner in a complex data environment.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data-flow architecture, and automated pipelines.
• Experience working in an IT Scrum framework.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business specifications and vice versa.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLM data models.
• German language skills.
