MSS Developer (Palantir)

Location: On-site in one of several locations across the United States or Stuttgart, Germany; work in a SCIF is required.

Salary: $135,000–$165,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain operator-facing dashboards, applications, decision surfaces, and interactive data exploration tools.
• Develop data pipelines, ontology, access controls, and integrations on MSS and the Palantir platform.
• Support AI/AIP workflows by creating well-modeled data foundations and operationally useful model outputs.
• Design visualizations, alerts, monitoring systems, KPIs, and success metrics for mission decision-making.
• Optimize data models, queries, caching, aggregation, and scalable MSS solutions.
• Document data sources and analytical methods, provide operator support, and contribute reusable platform content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a quantitative discipline; extensive Palantir experience may substitute.
• 4+ years of software or data engineering experience, including at least 1.5 years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, Gotham, AIP, or MSS.
• Experience building dashboards, applications, or pipelines for operational end users.
• Working proficiency in ontology design and pipeline authoring with PySpark, Code Repositories, or Pipeline Builder.
• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. government security clearance are required; higher-level clearances, including TS/SCI, may be required.
• Ability to work on-site in a SCIF is required.

Nice to have

• Palantir FDE/FDSE or comparable customer-embedded experience.
• MSS experience, AIP agent experience, or large language model workflow exposure.
• Familiarity with DoD data environments, classified networks, or Combatant Command support.
• Python and SQL skills, with familiarity in JavaScript or TypeScript.
