Data Engineer (Power BI/Azure)

Location: Warsaw Downtown Office, Poland; hybrid arrangement with work from home up to 2 days per week

Salary: 14,700 PLN per month

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement cloud-based data and analytics platforms and pipelines.
• Acquire, cleanse, transform, and publish data from diverse sources.
• Assemble complex datasets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Collaborate with data asset managers, architects, and development leads to deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
• Apply coding standards and best practices to build efficient, reusable services and components.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Power BI semantic models, DAX, analytical data modeling, datasets, measures, and relationships.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data processing and transformation.
• Experience with Databricks or similar data engineering platforms.
• Knowledge of Spark SQL, Delta Lake, lakehouse processing, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and cloud data architecture.
• Familiarity with Azure data services, Git, collaborative development, CI/CD practices, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with large Power BI semantic or Tabular models, TMDL, Tabular Editor, or Power BI deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schemas, data marts, or medallion architecture.
• Experience implementing CI/CD with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Knowledge of GitFlow and performance optimization in Power BI, DAX, Spark, or Databricks.
• Relevant Azure, Databricks, or Apache Spark certifications.
