Big Data Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Puebla or Mexico City, Mexico

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Python-based big data processing and analysis tools.
• Process, clean, transform, and organize vehicle testing and validation datasets using ETL, ELT, or similar methodologies.
• Perform statistical analyses to identify trends, correlations, patterns, and anomalies.
• Create data visualizations, dashboards, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with hirify.global engineers, data specialists, and customer teams in Barcelona to translate technical requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Automate data processing, analysis, and reporting tasks and support scalable analytical workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Programming skills in Python and experience with data-processing and analysis libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence concepts.
• Experience with data visualization tools or libraries such as Power BI, Matplotlib, or Plotly.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and version-control tools such as Git.
• Good command of Spanish and English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud-based data environments.
• Previous professional, academic, or personal project experience in data engineering, analytics, or data science.
