Application & Integration Architect

What you will do

• Define and maintain enterprise integration architecture standards, principles, governance frameworks, and architectural artefacts.
• Design enterprise-wide integration architectures, connectors, APIs, service bus solutions, integration flows, and interoperability mechanisms.
• Translate business, user, and technical requirements into scalable integration architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Plan and optimize integration platform capacity, security, performance, availability, and quality.
• Analyse existing systems and services, identify integration opportunities, and recommend technologies, tools, platforms, and standards.
• Lead development teams and contribute to system design, testing, quality assurance, change management, and DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree at EQF Level 7 or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 8 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 5 years in a similar Enterprise Integration Architect position.
• At least two internationally recognized certifications, including options such as Iasa Architect CITA-A, Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Data Fundamentals, TIBCO Certified Associate, or Certified SOA Architect.
• Experience leading at least one enterprise-wide integration platform deployment and expert knowledge of data- and API-level integration architecture, connectors, integration flows, and enterprise service bus solutions.
• Strong knowledge of integration platforms such as TIBCO or MuleSoft, SOA, databases, middleware, cloud integration patterns, SDLC, UML, hybrid integration, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with enterprise modelling tools and architectural frameworks such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect, TOGAF, Zachman Framework, or Azure Well-Architected Framework.

Nice to have

• Experience with ArchiMate and enterprise architecture styles, patterns, and reference architectures.
• Experience with the European Interoperability Framework or other interinstitutional interoperability frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-native integration services and API management platforms.
• Experience in large-scale public sector or international organisation environments.
