Graduate Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Sant Cugat del Valles, Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid work model with home office and office work, depending on role and function.

What you will do

• Contribute to the design and development of secure, scalable, and high-performing data systems.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, testing, and integration for structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Support reliability, data quality, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help maintain data governance, privacy, security, and compliance standards.
• Evaluate new technologies and apply engineering best practices in a cross-functional team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, obtained within the last 12 months.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, and at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of data systems, software development practices, Git, testing, and Agile ways of working.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, curiosity, ownership, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, or project experience in data engineering, analytics, software engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
