Senior Project Manager BESS

Location: United Kingdom - Remote; willingness to travel up to 30% of the time is required.

What you will do

• Lead turnkey EPC and core-only battery energy storage projects from contract execution through operational handover.
• Own delivery against safety, quality, schedule, budget, code, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Manage P&L responsibility for projects valued at up to $30M+ and support revenue, cash flow, and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, finance, sales, customers, suppliers, EPC partners, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Review designs, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, safety plans, construction methods, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Resolve technical issues and close snags, quality issues, and non-conformances while supporting contract negotiations and business improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, physics, or another technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of project management, construction management, or engineering experience in the power generation market.
• At least 3 years of P&L responsibility for equipment supply or turnkey projects and more than 1 year managing subcontractor contracts.
• Experience managing matrix project organizations with six or more functions.
• Valid senior project management certification, such as PMI PgMP or IPMA Level B.
• Business-level English is required, along with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy storage markets.
• Experience delivering projects to utility customers in Ireland.
• Knowledge of DS3 Services, the EirGrid Grid Code, and the Single Electricity Market.
