AOCS & GNC Engineer Hardware & Testing (m/f/d)

Location: Bremen, Germany; hybrid work and mobile work abroad are available.

What you will do

• Perform AOCS/GNC testing at unit, subsystem, and integrated spacecraft system levels.
• Support procurement of AOCS/GNC equipment, including sensors, actuators, and ground support equipment.
• Verify and validate AOCS/GNC subsystems.
• Support satellite projects from project start through customer acceptance.
• Contribute to satellite proposals and system studies for AOCS/GNC topics.
• Design and develop AOCS/GNC ground support and test equipment and prepare technical documentation.

Requirements

• Degree, doctorate, or comparable qualification in aerospace engineering, mechatronics, electronics engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience.
• Good knowledge of Matlab and C programming.
• Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, motivation, proactive involvement, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in international teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in the space industry, especially with AOCS/GNC equipment and verification and validation processes.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• Experience with development boards and microcontrollers such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
• Experience with version control systems such as Subversion or Git.
