Actuarial Intern

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota; hybrid arrangement with at least four days per week in the office and flexibility to work from home one day per week. Applicants must already have US work authorization that will not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Base pay: $31.00 per hour. Additional variable pay and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Work directly with actuaries on business-driven projects.
• Support projects in product development, actuarial valuation, finance, and risk management.
• Complete and present a self-directed individual project to senior leaders.
• Enhance existing processes using Python, SQL, and Power BI.
• Build validation tools to verify the accuracy of actuarial models.
• Analyze results and trends related to regulatory or product changes.

Requirements

• Be a current junior at a four-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation in December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Have passed at least one actuarial exam.
• Have valid US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
