Distribution Planning Engineering Intern (Power Systems)

Location: Maple Grove, Minnesota, United States; in-person commuting required under the hybrid work policy

Salary: $21.20–$24.60 per hour

What you will do

• Support distribution system studies and project development with planning engineers.
• Run power flow studies and forecast load growth.
• Develop distribution plans and design capacity expansion projects.
• Evaluate community solar garden interconnection studies.
• Support regulatory filings and gain practical grid operations experience through team collaboration.

Requirements

• Current sophomore-level student or higher.
• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited college or university and pursuing an engineering degree.
• Able to work full-time during the summer, up to 40 hours per week, and part-time during the school year, up to 20 hours per week.
• Able to commute to the designated Maple Grove work location in person.
