Services & Commissioning Manager

What you will do

• Lead client-side services and commissioning for new-build data centre projects.
• Develop installation and commissioning plans, detailed schedules, and project phasing strategies.
• Manage principal contractors, service trades, equipment vendors, consultants, and commissioning activities through handover.
• Lead safety across design, construction, commissioning, and operations, eliminating hazards through engineering controls.
• Manage installation risks, quality control, defects, site inspections, and commissioning acceptance processes.
• Support commissioning strategy, contract negotiations, cost decisions, and vendor procurement.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data centre, mission-critical project, or construction management.
• Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or trade qualifications in mechanical or electrical services installation.
• Project management certification such as PRINCE2 or PMP.
• Knowledge of data centre design across power, cooling, space, and IT infrastructure, including Tier III/IV environments and commissioning.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary contractors, vendors, and consulting engineers, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Aconex, Procore, MS Project or P6, Bluebeam, and Revit.
