Senior Contracts Manager

What you will do

• Lead preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts for Australian Defence, allied governments, prime contractors, and commercial customers.
• Support Australian Government and Defence tenders, including solicitation reviews, compliance matrices, commercial assumptions, qualifications, and departures.
• Negotiate product-sale, framework, teaming, reseller, representative, memorandum of understanding, nondisclosure, statement of work, software-development, and licensing agreements.
• Manage intellectual-property, technical-data, software-rights, liability, warranty, acceptance, delay, indemnity, insurance, termination, and dispute-resolution provisions.
• Administer awarded agreements, including obligations registers, milestones, notices, changes, claims, approvals, audit-ready records, and closeout.
• Advise Business Development, Programs, Finance, Legal, Trade Compliance, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and technology partners on contractual and commercial risks.

Requirements

• Legal authorisation to work in Australia is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, business, commerce, finance, engineering, supply chain, international relations, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least eight years of progressively responsible contracts or commercial-management experience in defence, aerospace, advanced technology, or another highly regulated product environment.
• Experience negotiating with the Australian Department of Defence, Australian Government entities, or major Australian Defence contractors, including ASDEFCON-based tenders or contracts and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
• Experience with complex hardware-and-software product contracts, software development and licensing, technology integration, intellectual property, technical data, and data rights.
• Ability to independently lead high-value negotiations, manage concurrent deadlines, and translate legal, technical, operational, and regulatory requirements into business recommendations.
