Senior Legal Counsel (Fintech)

hirify.global is a fintech lender helping Australians access property equity through digital lending products, including its Buy Now, Sell Later solution.

What you will do

• Draft, negotiate, and advise on commercial contracts, aggregator agreements, white-label partnerships, and vendor arrangements.
• Support product and commercial teams with legal structuring, partner onboarding, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Lead legal work on mergers, acquisitions, corporate structuring, capital raising, and strategic transactions.
• Advise the board and leadership on corporate governance, statutory registers, director responsibilities, shareholder communications, and related-party matters.
• Oversee financial services compliance, including ASIC and NCCP obligations, breach reporting, licensing, responsible lending, advertising, and disclosure requirements.
• Manage intellectual property and advise on SaaS, data licensing, privacy, cybersecurity, and technology-related legal matters.

Requirements

• 10+ years of post-admission legal experience in corporate law, preferably including M&A, finance, and technology.
• Admission to practice law in Australia and a current Australian practicing certificate.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercial, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to approach legal and business challenges creatively.
