Safety, Health & Wellbeing Lead - VIC/TAS

Location: Victoria and Tasmania, Australia; Richmond, VIC. Hybrid work with regular intrastate travel and occasional interstate travel required.

What you will do

• Partner with operational leaders, brand managers, and site teams to embed safety and health practices into daily operations.
• Conduct Category 1 and 2 ICAM root-cause investigations, support Category 3 and 4 reviews, and address dangerous occurrences.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans, risk assessments, safety alerts, work instructions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead physical and mental health initiatives and support the organisation’s Safety Management System.
• Conduct site-opening safety inspections, coach field teams during onboarding, and deliver interactive WHS training.
• Support self-insurance audits, regulatory compliance, and engagement with WorkSafe and external regulators.

Requirements

• Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety; a Diploma is preferred.
• ICAM certification and a current, valid driver’s licence.
• Solid WHS experience and strong knowledge of retail and/or hospitality environments.
• Knowledge of WHS Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and hazard management principles.
• Experience with root-cause investigations, strategic safety planning, group facilitation, project execution, and stakeholder engagement.
• Availability for regular travel across Victoria and Tasmania and occasional interstate travel.
