Senior Customer Engineer, Japan (AI/Cloudflare)

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, design bespoke architectures, and deliver product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept.
• Advise customers throughout onboarding, adoption, renewal, and expansion while maintaining long-term technical relationships.
• Align customer business goals with hirify.global’s product roadmap and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Manage a variable quota linked to new business, platform adoption, retention, and account expansion.
• Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews and translate platform capabilities into business value for C-suite stakeholders.
• Use AI agents and internal platforms to automate RFP responses, security questionnaires, sandbox provisioning, and telemetry monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Broad expertise in web security, networking, routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment, with knowledge of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to connect technical implementation details with C-suite strategy.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Tokyo, Japan.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global’s developer platform and AI ecosystem, including Workers AI and AI Gateway.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages for integrations, API connectors, and edge computing functions.
