Microsoft's Frontier Industry Advisory team helps financial services organizations apply secure, scalable AI and cloud technologies to enterprise transformation.

What you will do

• Advise banking and insurance executives in Japan on digital and AI transformation, account planning, and strategic business priorities.
• Identify customer needs and shape industry-led opportunities across banking, payments, lending, risk, compliance, fraud, operations, and core banking modernization.
• Connect business outcomes to Microsoft cloud, data, AI, security, automation, and partner capabilities.
• Originate and qualify Forward Deployed Engineering opportunities that move customers from AI pilots to production-grade solutions.
• Partner with account teams, engineering groups, solution teams, consulting organizations, and external partners to develop and execute complex transformation programs.
• Build financial services thought leadership, industry perspectives, customer value cases, and strategic transformation roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of customer-facing experience, or master's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in consultative sales, advisory, strategy, business development, transformation, or technology leadership in financial services or related enterprise technology sectors.
• Experience working with banking business leaders on transformation opportunities across areas such as payments, lending, risk, compliance, fraud, digital banking, and core banking.
• Ability to engage senior decision-makers, shape business value propositions, and translate strategic banking priorities into technology-enabled opportunities.
• Working knowledge of cloud, data, AI, automation, security, and modern application capabilities in regulated financial services environments.
• Fluency in both English and Japanese is required. Experience with Asian banking markets and Japanese or Asian regulatory environments is expected.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of customer-facing experience in financial services with a bachelor's degree, or 7+ years with a master's degree.
• Experience identifying or collaborating with forward-deployed or embedded engineering teams to co-build production-grade AI and agent solutions.
